About This Project

In 2024, Visit Seattle launched the Love For All Boat, transforming a 45-foot yacht into a moving declaration of LGBTQIA+ love and inclusion. The event brought together 56 LGBTQIA+ couples aboard for a vow renewal ceremony, officially setting a world record for most same-sex couples renewing vows simultaneously on a boat.

As Creative Director on the project, I oversaw concept creation, visual design, and the overall creative strategy. My role was to ensure the activation was bold, clear, and unmistakably about love, acceptance, and visibility.

The cruise was emceed by Seattle drag icon BenDeLaCreme and officiated by Justice Mary Yu, Washington’s first openly gay Asian American & Latina justice. Held aboard Argosy Cruises’ Salish Explorer, the event offered stunning Puget Sound views, rainbow-themed décor, and a ceremonious tone that elevated the experience beyond a single cruise.

Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell officially declared May 30 Love For All Day, and iconic city landmarks lit up in rainbow colors to mark the celebration, further embedding the event into the city’s cultural narrative.

The activation generated widespread attention: 66 media placements, more than 251 million global media impressions, and recognition from professional awards including a Platinum HSMAI Adrian Award and a Shorty Awards Silver Honor for LGBTQ Community Engagement.

The Love For All Boat wasn’t just a cruise. It was a record-breaking, joyous act of visibility, and a moment of national storytelling. And I’m crazy proud to have been on the team that made it all happen.
